BodyTalk Core
The Core Curriculum of the BodyTalk System
consists of Modules 1 through 9. This coursework was developed by Dr. John Veltheim between 1997 and 2001 and remains
the foundation of a BodyTalk practice. Modules 1 and 2 constitute the core training required to become a Certified
BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP).
A new level of practitioner certification, Advanced CBP, will require examination based on Modules
1, 2, 3, 4(7) and 9. This is expected to be launched in 2007, and will be posted on this site when that occurs.
You do not need to be an Advanced CBP, although most practitioners within the healthcare industry will want to
do so to add to their credentials and professionalism. Modules 1 and 2 are taught by over 70 Certified BodyTalk
Instructors worldwide. The advanced modules are taught by a dozen senior Instructors.
How to become a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner
(CBP)
The first step is to take the core courses
Module 1 and 2. In essence, Module 1 and 2 should be thought of as one course though, as Module 2 is the expansion
onto Module 1. You need both modules in order to fully practice the BodyTalk System protocol.
After completion of both Module 1 and 2 you
need to the fulfill the following steps:

Become a Member of the International BodyTalk
Association (IBA) Application form, this costs $90 USD to be a standard member, once you certify you will pay another
$90 USD for practicing member (the full membership total is $180 USD). With membership you have access to all details
on the IBA website, ordering products, forums, and to advertise yourself online. |

50 sessions need to be done on willing participants.
You can either do 50 sessions on one person or a number of sessions on a number of participants. You are allowed
to charge for these sessions, although it should be at a learning rate of approximately $50.00 a session. |

Take the Advanced Procedures Module 1 & 2
OR take Module 1 & 2 again. Please note that the cost to take Module 1 & 2 again IF YOU ARE AN IBA member
is $371.00 for both modules including GST. If you are not an IBA member the cost is $600.00 for both modules including
GST. |

Take an Exam with Andrea Carter You will write
both a practical and a written exam, both 45 minutes each in length. The cost to sit the exam is $125.00 CDN. It
is a benefit to become an IBA member before attending the exams as you have access to downloading the practice
exams on the IBA website. |
